Links for free patterns
There are many free patterns available that may be used for healing heart blocks. Sometimes you may have to resize them using a copy machine. Here are a few free patterns and the resizing percentage for you to create them at the Healing Heart block size of 8" finished or 8 1/2" unfinished.
You may want to print a copy of the pattern to keep - the websites could go down or be closed when you want the pattern again.

Applique Makes a 5" block appliqué. Take to
a copier and print at 160% to get an 8" sized pattern. Free from

Applique Heart Wreath This could be fused and machine stiched or button hole stitched. Hand applique would be great too! The pattern says 7 inch but I would leave it that size on the 8 1/2" background.
